Description
HDSC works as an emulsifiable machine degreaser and detergent for use in both self-contained and centralised systems. Viscol developed this product specifically for the machining industry to support cleanliness and sterility of soluble oil emulsions during service.
Operators use this machine degreaser to clean machines before refilling or topping up with fresh working fluids. HDSC delivers both degreasing and disinfecting action in one complete cleaning process. As a result, it helps reduce downtime and improves system hygiene.
Machine degreaser for machining systems
HDSC is designed for use in machining environments where contamination, oil residue, and bacterial growth may affect performance. The formulation allows the machine degreaser to neutralise bacterial infections while effectively removing oil and slime from internal system surfaces.
Because this machine degreaser works within existing systems, operators can use it as part of routine maintenance to improve cleanliness and fluid management.
Application instructions
The recommended treatment rate for this machine degreaser is 2%, equivalent to 20 liters per 1000 liters of working fluid.
Add HDSC directly to the sump and circulate for six hours to achieve maximum efficacy. During this period, the mixture must not be used for machining operations.
After circulation, rinse the system thoroughly with clean water. Drain completely and refill with a new, freshly prepared emulsion mixed at the recommended dilution.
Physical characteristics
HDSC comes as a green-blue fluid with a slight solvent odour. The specific gravity at 20°C ranges from 0.90 to 1.05. The flash point (P.M.C.C.) is greater than 100°C, and the pH at 5% concentration ranges between 9.4 and 10.2.
Maintaining correct application procedures improves cleaning efficiency and supports effective system hygiene. For this reason, operators should follow standard housekeeping and maintenance practices during use.
