Description
GRIND NF is a fully synthetic metal working fluid formulated as a water-extendible, nitrite-free grinding coolant. It is totally oil-free and forms clear, fluorescent yellow solutions, making it easy to identify in water systems.
In many grinding operations, conventional soluble oils can impair performance rather than assist it. However, because GRIND NF is a fully synthetic metal working fluid, wheel glazing and loading caused by oil and soap pick-up are eliminated. In addition, the fully synthetic formulation provides stable performance even in conditions of extreme water hardness.
GRIND NF contains corrosion inhibitors and functional additives to deliver the required performance for this category of product. As a result, diluted solutions are mildly alkaline and demonstrate excellent anti-rust characteristics. Furthermore, even after extended periods in service, the solutions remain clear and homogeneous, ensuring good cooling and workpiece visibility.
Metal working fluid application guide
Use of this metal working fluid should be restricted to ferrous metals, high-nickel alloys, and titanium alloys.
• Grinding steels: 60:1
• Grinding cast iron: 50:1
Dilution range: 1:40 to 1:70 (maximum)
Product advantages
• High levels of rust inhibition
• Good wheel flushing and visibility
• Stable clear solutions tolerant to hard waters
• Free from scum and oil separation
• Low foaming potential
• Excellent filterability
As with all production lubricants, good housekeeping and system maintenance are important to ensure satisfactory working life.
