Forestcut Virgin: Engineered for lubricating chain saw cutter bars, Forestcut 500 offers the right viscosity, ensuring maximum film strength and acceptable flow characteristics. A tackifier reduces oil splatter at high chain speeds, while EP additives minimize wear.
Cutterbar Lubricant: Cutterbar lube serves a distinct purpose compared to 2-stroke oils and must not be used in the engine. In a chainsaw, the engine drives the chain, which travels at high speeds around the cutter bar. Pegs on the chain fit into a groove on the cutter bar. Forestcut 500 is placed in a tank within the saw’s body, with an engine-driven pump supplying oil to lubricate the pegs/groove interface.
